Exercise 1 | Promenade (1-2-Whoosh)
Adding Promenade to your 1-2-Whoosh arsenal is super fun, and it greatly diversifies your language.
To start, first naturally dance in 1-2-Whoosh timing, and then it’s time to flow into Promenade. Whether you transition from side moves or forward/backward moves, transition into Promenade on the whoosh of your previous move. This prepares you to naturally, non abruptly, flow into your promenade dancing.
Take the time to become natural in Promenade, and even play with Promenade spins. Remember to generally rotate your Promenade movement to assist in the nature of spinning.
After you are comfortable 1-2-Whooshing in Promenade, practice transitioning between Facing and Promenade as you dance.
Practice with the Spotify playlist and your favorite tunes.
En garde! Let’s Promenade.
